Du Barry Junior suite
The Du Barry Junior Suite reveals the full refinement and radiance of the 18th-century art of living. Inspired by Jeanne Bécu, the favourite of Louis XV known as Madame du Barry, the suite evokes the delicate elegance of rocaille salons and the taste for exquisite pleasures. Turquoise, ivory, and gold, damask fabrics adorn the walls, bed, and seating, creating a precious jewel-box setting.
Rocaille bergère armchairs, a chandelier with pendants, and delicate marquetry create a graceful Louis XV-style interior where every detail seems to echo the splendour of grand aristocratic residences. The portraits on the walls continue this journey into the 18th century. The portrait of a young woman with a squirrel echoes with the painting of a solemn, powerful man. In the bedroom, the spectacular à la duchesse headboard continues this sense of enveloping elegance.
In the drawing room, Mediterranean light reveals the silky nuances of the fabrics and the gilded mouldings, creating a setting for a stay overlooking the Baie des Anges poised between French heritage and the gentle charm of the Riviera in an intimate, feminine atmosphere, simultaneously sumptuous and serene.
