Hayat Elie
ASSISTANT HEAD WAITER
Hayat Elie has always known that her place was beside others, where active listening and close attention to the most minor details make all the difference. Her perseverance, human values, and unwavering commitment have now been rewarded with a promotion to the role of Assistant Head Waiter – a position she embraces with joy and determination.
Her story begins in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, at the heart of her family’s restaurant, run by her sister. From an early age, she was captivated by the rhythm of service, the art of hospitality, and the power of a genuine welcome. It was there that she discovered her true calling: she understood that the well-being of others would become her greatest motivation. Initially planning to pursue physiotherapy, she soon realised that her vocation lay elsewhere. After completing a BTS in Tourism and being drawn to the world of luxury hospitality, she built her experience across several five-star establishments, never losing sight of her ultimate goal – to join Hôtel Le Negresco, an institution that embodies French elegance and prestige.
In 2022, her dream became a reality: Hayat joined Le Negresco as Chef de Rang. Her dedication and passion for hospitality quickly made an impression, leading to her internal promotion. Today, she holds the position of Assistant Head Waiter. Working alongside Manuel Enfedaque, Director of Food and Beverage, and Paul Robin, Assistant Manager of La Rotonde, Hayat ensures the excellence of service by nurturing team spirit and continually anticipating guests’ needs. For her, success lies in the ability to find solutions before a request is even made, transforming every moment into a lasting memory. “We constantly push our limits, because every detail matters, and every smile has meaning.”
Her career path reflects the values of excellence and commitment upheld by Le Negresco. For Hayat, this promotion represents more than a significant recognition – it is a personal source of pride to reach such a demanding position, and a powerful symbol for greater representation of women in the industry.
