Jordane Saget: the line as signature
Jordane Saget began drawing lines on paper around 2010, before the street became his open-air studio in 2015. From these beginnings emerged an instantly recognisable visual language: three curved lines, spaced with an almost musical regularity.
Rooted in a childhood fascination with geometry, the lines later softened as the artist began practising tai chi chuan. Most often drawn in chalk, an ephemeral material evocative of childhood, poetry, and freedom, his works have since taken on sometimes monumental dimensions, immersing the viewer in the heart of the drawing.
For this new edition of Les Enfants Arty, Saget invites young participants to make his graphic vocabulary of curves, texture, and repetition their own, and to invent a personal symbol.
Programme
- ‘Palette Printing’ workshop
Children explore printing with ink stamps inspired by Saget’s graphic style on a white palette. Combining paint with repeated motifs, they create their own 10 × 10 cm artwork.
- ‘Customise a Plate’ workshop
Drawing inspiration from Saget’s ceramic work, children paint and customise a plate using the artist’s technique and motifs.
- Group ‘Illumination’ workshop
Inspired by Saget’s current large-scale work using Meudon white, the children work together on a composition prepared by the artist, bringing it to life with metal leaf and oil pastels in a technique reminiscent of manuscript illumination.
- Sweet finale creative world.
As has become a tradition, Les Enfants Arty will conclude with a gourmet interlude created by Pastry Chef Yann Le Douaron, reflecting the guest artist’sInformation & Bookings
