Invader, Master of Urban Pixels

Since the late 1990s, this elusive yet world-renowned artist has established himself as one of the leading figures in contemporary art. Inspired by the 8-bit aesthetic of the 1978 video game Space Invaders, his ceramic-tile compositions adorn façades across the world, from Tokyo to Paris, Los Angeles to New York, and even reaching the very edges of space.

Pixelissime Workshop

This autumn, Invader, an iconic figure on the urban scene, invites children aged 5 to 13 to explore the codes of street art through his mysterious, playful work. From 2 to 5 pm, under the guidance of two Art Kids Company facilitators, budding artists will take over the Salon Masséna for a creative immersion into the world of Invader.

Over the course of three hours, young participants will immerse themselves in a pixelated world through three creative workshops. Each child will create a personal work using Briare enamels. Carefully wrapped, each creation will become a unique keepsake: a fragment of mosaic to take home accompanied by a special, pixel-themed Art Kids Company book.

A Mosaic of Sweet Delights

At 4 p.m., pastry chef Yann Le Douaron will welcome the young artists to the Salon Masséna for an afternoon treat imagined as a work of art. Like one of Invader’s pieces, each mouthful becomes a pixel of flavour, revealing a mosaic of unexpected tastes.

Les Enfants Arty workshop, including the afternoon goûter, is priced at €58 per child.
