2. The Brilliance of the Riviera at Le Versailles Bar
Facing the Baie des Anges, Le Versailles bar unveils a new interpretation of Riviera elegance – vibrant, contemporary and sun-drenched – while remaining true to the spectacular spirit of its décor inspired by the splendour of Versailles.
Designed as a true living space at any time of day, Le Versailles welcomes its guests in an atmosphere where heritage and modernity engage in subtle dialogue. Beneath the majestic gaze of the Sun King’s portrait, the retro-chic furniture, with its sculptural, enveloping lines, blends contemporary inspirations with period references. A refined contrast that enhances the sparkle and gilding of the 17th-century décor.
Open all year round, from 9:30am to midnight in summer and until 5:30pm in winter, the bar offers a gourmet journey to enjoy at any moment: a French-style breakfast of hot beverages, a choice of viennoiseries and freshly squeezed juices.
At lunchtime, Le Versailles offers light, flavourful meals for a business meeting, featuring reinvented classics such as Caesar salad or beef tartare. Not to mention the tapas menu, served until midnight during the summer season.
Every day, from noon to 5pm, an elegant pastry trolley makes its way through Le Versailles. It reveals the signature creations of pastry chef Yann Le Douaron and his team, inspired by the great classics of French pastry-making. Citrus or raspberry tarts, strawberry cake (fraisier), travel cakes and fruit-based creations showcase local produce, crafted with freshness, precision and lightness. Each pastry comes with a hot beverage of your choice and, to extend the experience, can be enjoyed with a glass of champagne.
The cocktail menu follows the same philosophy: freshness, lightness and seasonality. On this subject, Jonathan Emeriau, head of N Les Bars, explains: “With little or no alcohol, I wanted to create a fresh, rhythmic cocktail menu inspired by the incredible energy of the bar, such as the Purple Velvet (champagne, elderflower liqueur, blueberry infusion and Madagascar vanilla), which is its signature.”
Le Versailles confirms, more than ever, its place among the Riviera’s must-visit addresses, between heritage, art de vivre and modernity.
